Tripp and Andrew Laino have been watching movies together since 1992, and making fun of them together since 1999, when a rainy afternoon of babysitting turned into 8 hours of cheesy science fiction and jokes. Raised on a strict diet of 80s movies, the pair have an undying love for the decade and all of the weird, wonderful cinema therein, despite barely being there for it. Every other week (since 2014) they dissect a movie and the bizarre cinema quirks of 30-odd years ago.

Listener Request Month Pick #2 comes from Patreon supporter Tom!
Is this peak Val Kilmer? Could he be any more charming? How does no one know they're making a weapon?! Why is this 15-year-old in a relationship with a 19-year-old? Where does this rank amongst movie uses of Jiffy Pop? All this and more!

Monday Jul 01, 2019
It's the very first Listener Request Month, and the first selection is Patreon supporter Michele's choice: Midnight Madness!
The game master has created a zany scavenger hunt all over Los Angeles. What's the best method for organizing a hunt? Why is Flounder eating raw marshmallows? When did Hare Krishna disappear from airports? It's also the very first movie appearance by one of our favorites: Michael J. Fox! All this and more!

#127 Can't Stop the Music
Monday Jun 17, 2019
Monday Jun 17, 2019
It's PRIDE month, and we're celebrating with a very gay movie: Can't Stop The Music!
It's a kinda-sorta biopic about The Village People starring 80s heartthrob Steve "The Guttes" Guttenberg, and Caitlyn Jenner...based purely on decathlon prowess? Why were Americans so into the decathlon? Who decided to make a movie with just two actors in SIX of the eight main roles? Plus, Tripp admits a dark secret. All this and more!

#126 Godzilla

Monday Jun 03, 2019
Oh no, Godzilla!
We're celebrating the big screen return of everyone's favorite irradiated lizard king with Godzilla 1985!
This weird American re-cut of the Japanese release has the bare minimum of plot, a whole lot of giant rubber monster madness and some very weird voice acting choices. PLUS! Godzilla vapes!

#125 Wired
Monday May 20, 2019
Monday May 20, 2019
In celebration of Elton John's biopic (bye-op-ick?), we waded into the most tasteless one, perhaps of all time: Wired.
WHO IS THIS MOVIE FOR? Why do they hate Belushi SO MUCH? How did Chiklis end up having a career? Why is it just SO TASTELESS? Plus, Tripp hates all biopics, we talk wigs and so much more!

#124 Working Girl

Monday May 06, 2019
It's almost Mother's Day and we were fresh out of gift ideas, so we gave our mom the gift of an episode she'd been asking for forever: Working Girl!
This sassy sister film to Die Hard features a snackable Harrison Ford, a big heel turn from our queen Sigourney Weaver, and Melanie Griffith's performance on the Kate Hudson Corollary!

#123 Magnum P.I./Murder, She Wrote Crossover!
Monday Apr 22, 2019
Monday Apr 22, 2019
In celebration of the release of the crossover event of THIS century, we headed back to the last century to discuss the crossover event of the last century: When Jessica Fletcher took a Hawaiian vacation with Magnum, P.I.!
(Magnum, P.I. Season 7, Episode 9 "Novel Connection" and Murder, She Wrote Season 3, Episode 8 "Magnum on Ice")
Why does it take so long for Jessica Fletcher to show up? Why is there a ridiculous "B" plot in this Magnum Episode? How weird is it to see the syndication ending first? Is Jessica Fletcher a murderer? Can Magnum mansplain any more? (No). All this and more!

#122 Pet Sematary
Monday Apr 08, 2019
Monday Apr 08, 2019
Sometimes, dead is better. It's the original Pet Sematary, since the remake dropped this week!
Andrew has a surprisingly decent Fred Gwynne, while Tripp's is thoroughly mediocre, a phenomenal child actor (seriously!), a delightful doll shot, a home in dire need of a fence, and some truly scary stuff with Zelda!

#121 Critters
Monday Mar 25, 2019
Monday Mar 25, 2019
It's the internet's newest podcast: Clouded by the Zane, a Billy Zane podcast!
Critters fever is striking the nation, with a Shudder show and a Syfy movie coming, so we went back where it all started!
Is this Billy Zane a bad boy or a prep? Just how big is a critter, and is a critter also a ghoulie? Do critters go to college? Plus, an ode to M. Emmet Walsh's front hair bit.
