Tripp and Andrew Laino have been watching movies together since 1992, and making fun of them together since 1999, when a rainy afternoon of babysitting turned into 8 hours of cheesy science fiction and jokes. Raised on a strict diet of 80s movies, the pair have an undying love for the decade and all of the weird, wonderful cinema therein, despite barely being there for it. Every other week (since 2014) they dissect a movie and the bizarre cinema quirks of 30-odd years ago.

Monday Apr 22, 2019
Monday Apr 22, 2019
In celebration of the release of the crossover event of THIS century, we headed back to the last century to discuss the crossover event of the last century: When Jessica Fletcher took a Hawaiian vacation with Magnum, P.I.!
(Magnum, P.I. Season 7, Episode 9 "Novel Connection" and Murder, She Wrote Season 3, Episode 8 "Magnum on Ice")
Why does it take so long for Jessica Fletcher to show up? Why is there a ridiculous "B" plot in this Magnum Episode? How weird is it to see the syndication ending first? Is Jessica Fletcher a murderer? Can Magnum mansplain any more? (No). All this and more!

#122 Pet Sematary
Monday Apr 08, 2019
Monday Apr 08, 2019
Sometimes, dead is better. It's the original Pet Sematary, since the remake dropped this week!
Andrew has a surprisingly decent Fred Gwynne, while Tripp's is thoroughly mediocre, a phenomenal child actor (seriously!), a delightful doll shot, a home in dire need of a fence, and some truly scary stuff with Zelda!

#121 Critters
Monday Mar 25, 2019
Monday Mar 25, 2019
It's the internet's newest podcast: Clouded by the Zane, a Billy Zane podcast!
Critters fever is striking the nation, with a Shudder show and a Syfy movie coming, so we went back where it all started!
Is this Billy Zane a bad boy or a prep? Just how big is a critter, and is a critter also a ghoulie? Do critters go to college? Plus, an ode to M. Emmet Walsh's front hair bit.

Tying into the surprisingly successful "Fighting with My Family", it's an 80s movie about wrestling ladies: ...All the Marbles.
Tripp uses the slang of the youth, Is Peter Falk a snack? Adventures in minor crimes, Burt Young appears on the show again and is Oscar-tier gross, some competent wrestling and OH MY THE COSTUMES! It's a hidden gem on Dissecting the 80s! All this and more.

FOURBRUARY continues with the NBC TV Movie The Incredible Hulk Returns!
Why is there so much Hulk in this backdoor pilot for Thor? Did they buy this hammer at Home Depot? How much trauma did Bill Bixby endure wearing these contacts?
Plus, Tripp admits to watching way, way, way too much Supernatural, and a possibly-too-long tangent about the DC Film Universe!
All this and more!

Monday Feb 11, 2019
It's the fifth edition of FOURBRUARY, and the last gasp of Cannon-uary! We watched Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, and it was...not good.
Why are there SO MANY unconnected scenes? What's with Gene Hackman doing the voice of Nuclear Man? Why is Muriel Hemingway wearing David Byrne's suit? How did anyone get suckered into making this?! Why are the effects so cheap? All this and more - plus a big Patreon announcement!

Monday Jan 28, 2019
Monday Jan 28, 2019
Cannon-uary continues with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, an almost-awesome sequel from Tobe Hooper!
We join Stretch at a random radio station in rural Texas to maybe fall in love with Leatherface? Is Chop Top the most unsettling villain we've seen on the show? Just what's the deal with the Leatherface Family? Plus, Tripp tells an insane story of accidental assault in a movie theater! (It was Greg Raymer's sunglasses in the World Series of Poker, by the way.) All this and more!
